Officials continue to respond to a wildfire in Killarney National Park April 25. Officials have requested that visitors avoid the Gotderraree, Derrycunnihy, Gallavally, Cahernaduv, Gearhameen, Doogary, Eagles Nest, and The Five Mile portions of the park. Authorities have also warned motorists to exercise caution on the N71 route. Official advisories may be amended or extended in the coming days.

Emergency services will likely remain in place until the fire is extinguished. Officials may close parts of major routes in the area to facilitate the fire response. Road travel disruptions are likely to persist on the N71 and other routes near fire-impacted areas.
