Ukraine: Odesa airport closed for maintenance until at least July 16

Maintenance work closes Odesa International Airport, Ukraine, until at least July 16; check airport status before travel.

Warning

Event

Flights to and from Odesa International Airport (ODS) have been suspended through at least 12:00 July 16 to facilitate upgrading works; the work could overrun beyond that date.

ODS operates domestic flights to Kyiv and services to other international destinations, including Armenia, Austria, Georgia, Israel, Poland. Authorities have announced that a number of flights will be diverted to Mykolaiv International Airport (NLV) during the airport closure. Increased congestion is possible on flights serving NLV until the maintenance work at ODS has concluded. During the holiday season, greater than usual passenger numbers could also prompt minor security and baggage-processing delays at NLV.

Advice

Confirm airport status before travel; if traveling via NLV, allow additional time for processing and arrive at the airport early to prevent your seat from being allocated to a standby passenger.
