Iran: Activists plan to protest in Qazvin July 26

Activists plan to demonstrate at Valiasr Intersection in Qazvin from 18:00 July 26 to protest poor public services and to show solidarity with protesters in Khuzestan Province. Dozens to hundreds of individuals could attend the demonstration.

Authorities will likely increase security to monitor the protests. Large numbers of protesters will likely cause localized transport disruptions near the gathering sites the evening of July 26. Clashes are possible if demonstrators are overly disruptive or if they ignore police orders to disperse.

Qazvin is approximately 140 km (87 miles) northwest of Tehran.
