Guinea-Bissau: Scheduled nationwide power outages July 31 and Aug. 1 for maintenance

Electricity and Water Company of Guinea-Bissau (EAGB) will suspend power supply to the entire country 06:00-19:00 July 31 and 06:00-17:00 Aug. 1 during maintenance operations on the Karpowership vessel. The vessel is located offshore and provides electricity to the Guinea-Bissau grid.

Advice

Charge all communication and portable electronic devices when possible. Unplug electronic equipment that is not connected to surge protectors. Exercise caution when driving in areas affected by power outages. Confirm business appointments. Verify that security systems are working, including after power resumes. Ensure that generators are functional and fully fueled.
