Emergency services are responding to a collision between two trams in Poznan the afternoon of Aug. 5. The incident occurred near the Staroleka roundabout at around 11:45; media reports suggest at least 31 people were injured in the collision.

Authorities have confirmed they are in the process of removing the damaged trams and restoring traffic in the area; they are requesting that individuals avoid the incident site while emergency services carry out their work. Tram lines 1, 7, 9, 11, 12, 13, and 17 are disrupted as a result of the incident; increased road traffic congestion is also likely in the surrounding area in the coming hours. Officials are unable to confirm when traffic will be restored to normal.
