Authorities plan to suspend water supply to parts of Colombo 20:00 Nov. 13-23:59 Nov. 14 due to a leakage on a transmission line. The disruptions will affect Colombo areas 4-8 as well as Boralesgawuma, Kaduwela, Kotte, and Maharagama municipal areas.

Some business disruptions are possible, especially for companies that rely on large quantities of municipal water to maintain operations. Prolonged and recurrent water supply disruptions are possible in the coming days if maintenance work continues beyond the planned schedule.

Stock up on drinking water in advance. Confirm alternative water supplies for business operations. Pressure and water quality may be poor after service resumes; run taps for several minutes before using water. Use only bottled water from reputable suppliers for drinking and hygienic purposes.
