Service delays along the Main Line are likely after a Colombo-bound commuter train collided with a truck in Mirigama, Western Province, the morning of Dec. 15. There have been no immediate reports of casualties.

Heightened security and rail disruptions will likely continue until clearance operations conclude. Localized traffic disruptions are possible; authorities could close roads around the accident site to facilitate recovery operations in the coming hours.

Mirigama is around 45 km (28 miles) northeast of Colombo.
