Belgium: Unionized Brussels Airlines workers to stage 24-hour strike Dec. 20-21 to protest working conditions

Unionized Brussels Airlines (SN) workers, including pilots and cabin crew, plan to stage a 24-hour strike starting 05:00 Dec. 20. The industrial action comes in response to what three unions perceive as "untenable" working conditions.

Unless averted, the work stoppage is likely to result in flight disruptions across Belgium, including delays and cancellations. Related disruptions could extend through Dec. 21 after workers resume their duties as airlines reposition aircraft and reduce any backlog.
