Cambodia: Workers protesting in Phnom Penh Dec. 20

Striking employees of the NagaWorld Integrated Resort in Phnom Penh are protesting near the resort complex and National Assembly, Dec. 20. Reports indicate that security personnel has set up security barriers at the site. Approximately 200 people are participating in the action.

Authorities will almost certainly bolster security in the area in the coming hours, including erecting security cordons and roadblocks. Localized transport and business disruptions may occur, especially if there is a high turnout or if the demonstrators occupy nearby streets.
