Health employees plan to protest nationwide Dec. 28 to demand better working and salary conditions. In Bucharest, participants will gather at the following locations:
Victoria Square from 10:30.
Cotroceni Palace from 12:30.
Parliament Palace (Ivor entrance) from 12:30.
In addition, organizers announced that similar gatherings are scheduled at hospitals across the country from 12:00.
Security forces will likely deploy to monitor the gatherings; localized traffic disruptions are likely near all protest sites. Security forces may also disperse protesters if they are deemed to be breaching existing COVID-19 restrictions. The actions may also cause disruptions to hospital operations.
