Event

As of Dec. 29, authorities in the Turks and Caicos Islands maintain COVID-19 domestic and travel restrictions unchanged as compared to those in place since late November.

Domestic Restrictions
Bars and restaurants are allowed to operate at up to 50 percent capacity. Businesses and establishments must comply with industry-specific protocols, including employing enhanced sanitation procedures. The requirement for individuals aged two or older to wear protective facemasks in public spaces has been extended until at least Feb. 28.

International Travel Restrictions
All arriving passengers must obtain a "TCI-Assured" online pre-travel authorization by providing a negative RT-PCR, antigen, or other accepted COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours before arrival and a completed health screening questionnaire. Additionally, all visitors must have proof of insurance that covers COVID-19 medical costs. All arrivals over the age of 16 must be fully vaccinated. Children under 10 years of age are exempted from testing requirements. It is advised that travelers complete and upload the pre-travel authorization at least 24 hours before boarding.

Returning residents who have not been fully vaccinated must quarantine for 10 days upon arrival, and take an additional test on day seven. If visitors test positive for COVID-19 during their travel, regardless of their vaccination status, they must also undergo a 10-day quarantine and test on day seven at their own expense.

Authorities could reimpose, extend, further ease, or otherwise amend any restrictions with little-to-no notice depending on local disease activity.
