Sri Lanka: Private fuel tanker owners end nationwide strike as of March 17 /update 1

Private fuel tank owners across the country ended a strike as of March 17 following discussions with the government. Owners launched the work stoppage March 16 to demand increased transport charges following a hike in fuel prices.

Lingering fuel shortages, which may lead to continued transport disruptions, remain possible.
