Belgium: Ryanair cabin crew members to strike at Charleroi and Zaventem airports in Brussels April 22-24

Ryanair cabin crew members to strike at Charleroi and Zaventem airports in Brussels, Belgium. April 22-24. Flight disruptions likely.

Warning

Event

Ryanair (FR) cabin crew members represented by the Centrale Nationale des Employes (CNE) plan to strike at Brussels Zaventem (BRU) and Brussels South Charleroi (CRL) airports April 22-24. The purpose of the action is to demand the conclusion of a collective bargaining agreement to cover increased salaries and employee bonuses.

Unless averted, the work stoppage will likely prompt significant disruptions to Ryanair flights serving the Belgian capital. Resulting cancellations and delays could extend beyond the strike end time into April 25 as the carrier moves to reposition aircraft and resolve any passenger backlogs.

Advice

Confirm flights if booked to fly on Ryanair via either BRU or CRL from April 22 into at least the early hours of April 25. Do not check out of accommodations until onward travel is confirmed. Consider alternate arrangements for critical travel.
