A magnitude-5.3 earthquake occurred southeast of Lake and Peninsula Borough, Alaska, US at around 19:33 AKDT April 27. The epicenter was about 119 km (74 miles) east of Chignik, Alaska. The tremor occurred at a depth of about 85 km (53 miles), and light shaking was probably felt throughout southern Lake and Peninsula and Kodiak Island boroughs.
