Power outages will continue in parts of Phnom Penh through May 29 due to maintenance work. Provider Electricite du Cambodge has announced outages on the following days:
May 27: Outages will occur in Russey Keo and Chbar Ampov districts 08:00-13:00. Disruptions planned in Chrony Changya, Por Sen Chey, and Kambol districts in Phnom Penh and Ta Khamau, Kandal Province, 08:00-16:00.
May 28: Power disruptions to impact Sen Sok, Chbar Ampov, Por Sen Chey, and Kambol districts 08:00-13:00.
May 29: Electricity disruptions to occur in Meanchey, Dangkor, Por Sen Chey, Prek Pnov, and Kambol districts 08:00-13:00.
Disruptions to business and telecommunications, including cellular and mobile services, may occur. Transport disruptions are possible in areas with malfunctioning traffic signals. Power outages could result in the temporary unavailability of essential services, such as ATMs and filling stations. Blackouts could adversely affect security protocols, including alarm systems and electronic fences; opportunistic criminal activity could increase during electricity outages.

Charge all communication and portable electronic devices when possible. Unplug electronic equipment that is not connected to surge protectors. Exercise caution when driving in areas affected by power outages. Confirm business appointments. Verify that security systems are working, including after power is restored.
