Portugal: Unionized airport employees cancel nationwide Aug. 19-21 strike /update 1

Unionized airport workers employed by Aeroportos de Portugal (ANA) have canceled a strike scheduled to take place nationwide Aug. 19-21. The strike was to take place at 10 ANA-managed airports nationwide, and included the airports of Porto (OPO) and Lisbon (LIS). The cancelation came following successful negotiations between the Civil Aviation Workers' and the Commercial Aviation Staff unions and ANA. Future strikes are possible should the agreement collapse.
