Ireland: Activists plan protest in in Dublin Sept. 24

The Cost of Living Coalition plans to protest at Parnell Square in Dublin from 14:30 Sept. 24. The action is in response to and in opposition to the rising inflation rate. A related peaceful protest was held in Cork on Sept. 17. Hundreds to a few thousand people are likely to participate in the forthcoming action.

Security personnel will likely deploy to monitor and manage the demonstration. The action could result in some localized road travel disruptions as protest attendees arrive and later depart the area. Significant violence is unlikely.
