Hungary: Teachers and activists to protest in central Budapest the evening of Oct. 23

Teachers and student activists plan to demonstrate in central Budapest the evening of Oct. 23. Protesters will gather at Kalvin Ter from 16:00, from where they will march over Szabadsag hid (Liberty Bridge) to Meegyetem rakpart. The purpose of the action is to demand better work conditions for education workers. The demonstration is likely to be well-attended.

Police will almost certainly deploy to monitor and facilitate the gathering. Associated security measures will likely prompt localized travel disruptions. Road closures and traffic delays are possible along the march route. Violence is not anticipated
