Officials from the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) confirmed that electricty has been restored in parts of northwest Mindanao Oct. 27. Electricity disruptions occurred in the region following a bombing in the Sitio San Isidro area of Lanao del Norte that damaged a transmission tower Oct. 24. The impacted areas are in the Zamboanga Peninsula, including Zamboanga del Norte and Zamboanga del Sur, as well as Misamis Occidental and some parts of Lanao del Norte.

Lingering commercial and transport disruptions are possible through Oct. 27.
