Authorities are responding to a structure fire on Chemin des Barques in the Vaulx-en-Velin area of Lyon early Dec. 16. The fire broke out around 03:00, and around 165 firefighters are responding to the blaze. Initial reports indicate at least ten people died in the fire, and 14 others were injured, including two firefighters. A cordon is in place around the site, and buses are being diverted from the area.

Transport and business disruptions are likely around the impacted area through at least Dec. 16 as recovery efforts and an investigation into the fire continue.
