Sri Lanka: Student group plans to protest at Lipton Roundabout in Colombo Jan. 16

The Inter University Students’ Federation (IUSF) plans to demonstrate at Lipton Roundabout in Colombo from 12:00 Jan. 16. The action is to demand the release of their student leader, Wasanttha Mudalige, who has allegedly been detained under the Prevention of Terrorism Act (PTA) for 150 days without trial. Dozens to hundreds of people could participate in the gathering.
