A large explosion has been reported at a fuel refinery belonging to Angarsk Petrochemical Company in the city of Angarsk, Jan. 21. There were also reports of explosions affecting nearby railway carriages that were carrying gasoline. No casualties have been confirmed and the cause of the explosions remains unclear. The city of Angarsk is located 50 km (31 miles) northwest of the city of Irkutsk.

Authorities will likely restrict traffic on roads around the incident sites to facilitate the movement of emergency vehicles, causing localized transport disruptions.
