Pro-government activists plan to hold rallies nationwide throughout Colombia Feb. 14.

Supporters of President Gustavo Petro's administration, including elected officials and members of several political parties, plan to hold rallies in multiple locations throughout Colombia Feb. 14, to support the government's policies, and specifically a health reform that is currently being proposed.
The main demonstration will occur in Bogota, where activists will gather at Plaza de Armas. President Petro will participate in the event. Further details of the event in Bogota, or the locations of rallies in other cities, have not been confirmed, but large demonstrations are also likely in Barranquilla, Bucaramanga, Cali, and Medellin. These will likely take place at main public squares or near government buildings.
Thousands are likely to participate in the rally in Bogota, as well as in other major cities. Heightened security is likely, as well as associated transport and business disruptions. Counter-protests are unlikely to occur but cannot be ruled out.
