A magnitude-5.1 offshore earthquake occurred in the Savu Sea southeast of Flores Island at around 04:23 WIT March 23. The epicenter was about 105 km (65 miles) east-southeast of Maurmere. The tremor occurred at a depth of about 110 km (68 miles), and light shaking was probably felt throughout Flores Island and western Timor Lest.
