The N1 is reportedly closed in both directions between Pretoria and Johannesburg following a collision between two trucks, early April 17. The reportedly occurred at around 02:00 on April 17, with both vehicles catching fire upon impact. The fire has since been extinguished. No casualties have been confirmed. Authorities have advised drivers to avoid the area since there are reported of hazardous materials on sene. Traffic is reportedly being rerouted through Hatfield and Watermeyer Street.
