Monaco Country Report
Monaco is a sovereign city-state located along the Mediterranean Sea and France borders three sides of the country. Monaco is a principality governed under a form of constitutional monarchy. The current head of state is Prince Albert II.
The vast majority of travel and operations in the country are conducted safely. Incidents of criminal activity and public unrest are rare and Monaco does not face any conflict risk. The political environment is stable and the situation will almost certainly not change in the foreseeable future. Monaco faces a general terrorist threat due to the presence of potential targets on its territory.
Monaco is a major touristic attraction in along the French Riviera and the country hosts several major financial institutions. It has a major leisure port that attracts a large number of foreign vessels. Utilities as well as travel and medical infrastructure are very well maintained.

The vast majority of travel and operations in the country are conducted safely. Monaco does not face any internal or external threat and the country is not exposed to any outstanding security risk.
Infrastructure
There are no safety concerns over air travel.
There are no safety concerns over road travel and the roads are in excellent condition.
The ports are considered efficient.
Utilities are good.
Due to the presence of international banks and major financial institutions, there is a risk of cyber-attacks targeting public and private institutions in Monaco.
Environment
The local infrastructure is very well maintained and climate conditions do not generate any safety concern. Sporadic rain storms may result in temporary travel disruptions. High temperatures may lead to discomfort and potential health concerns during summer months.

The country has well maintained medical facilities and the status of local supplies does not generate any concern.
Political
Monaco is a unitary multi-party parliamentary semi-constitutional monarchy. The monarch is the head of state and the Prime Minister is the head of government. The monarch, the Prime Minister and the Council of Government form the government and exercise executive power. The unicameral parliament, or the National Council, exercises legislative power. General elections take place once every five years. The judiciary is independent of the executive and the legislature.
Coalitions featuring a cross-section of political parties are not required to form the government. Government collapses are uncommon. State institutions are competent and effective and provide reliable services across the country.
