One of the two runways at Berlin-Schönefeld International Airport (SXF) will be closed for maintenance work from July 16 to October 18, 2017. Airlines are expected to operate full flight schedules during this period, but unscheduled delays and cancelations are possible, particularly in the event of adverse weather conditions. Moreover, the only runway left operating is under a partial curfew, and as such is closed for loud aircraft nightly from 22:00 until 06:00 (local time).

SXF is one of two international airports serving Berlin and the major gateway for low-cost airlines serving the area.
