Netherlands: Amsterdam-Rotterdam rail line closed Aug. 28
Track between Amsterdam and Rotterdam closed morning of August 28; Thalys and Intercity trains suspended
Event
The rail line connecting Rotterdam and Amsterdam-Schiphol International Airport (AMS) - via central Amsterdam - is closed as of the morning of Monday, August 28, due to a technical issue. As such, all Intercity trains are currently suspended. The track closure is also affecting international Thalys trains running between Paris and Amsterdam. It is unclear when operations will resume.
