Dubai Air Show will cause severe disruption to traffic from November 12 – 16

Heavy traffic is expected from Sunday, November 12 through Thursday, November 16 during the Dubai Air Show 2017, held at Al-Maktoum International Airport (DWC).  The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) have advised of significant delays on the Emirates Road (E311), Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road (E311), Jebel Ali Lehbab, and in the vicinity of DWC. Motorists should also expect additional traffic and possible delays on Sheikh Zayed Road (E11) and Al-Yalayis Street (D57) . The RTA also advised not to park vehicles around the air show on Emirates Road, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road and Jebel Ali Lehbab, to ensure emergency vehicles have access to the event; penalties are likely to be incurred.

Context

The Dubai Airshow is a biennial trade exhibition and air show held in Dubai. Some 72,000 visitors are expected in 2017.

Individuals traveling in Dubai, particularly all major roads leading to Al-Maktoum International Airport, are advised to anticipate increased travel times and to plan accordingly.
