Greek government officials confirmed that at least 91 people were killed and another 25 people are missing as of Monday, July 30, after multiple wildfire broke out in Attica. The fires started on Monday, July 23, and affected the areas of Rafina, Kineta, Panorama, Neos Voutzas, Agios Andreas, Nea Makri, Kalamos, Oropos and Mati. A vigil for the victims was held in Athens on Monday, July 30, in front of the Greek Parliament. Recovery efforts are ongoing as of Tuesday, July 31, and the death toll may continue to rise in the coming days. Initial police reports indicate that arson may have been the cause of the fires; an investigation is ongoing as of Tuesday..
