Brazil: São Paulo Metro workers postpone strike until May 7

Workers with the São Paulo Metro announced on Monday, April 29, that they would postpone a planned strike until Tuesday, May 7, to allow for further negotiations. The work stoppage was originally planned for Tuesday, April 30. The union will meet on Monday, May 6, to vote on the May 7 strike, which would begin at 04:40 (local time). Significant transportation disruptions are expected if the strike should go forward.
