Members of the National Ambulance Service Representative Association (NASRA) have planned a work stoppage for 24 hours during the week of Monday, May 27, through Sunday, June 2, and another during the week of Monday, June 3, through Sunday, June 9. Exact dates have yet to be announced as of Monday, May 6. NASRA members will also hold a protest outside the Dáil (Dublin) on Wednesday, May 15.

Disruptions to health services are likely during the strikes.

Context

NASRA has held six shorter stoppages since January 2019 as part of a broader campaign over union representation rights. During previous strikes, military ambulances have had to step in to assist with coverage.
