Police clashed with protesters in Ijevan (Tavush province) who obstructed traffic on the M4 highway on Wednesday, July 17. According to local sources, at least 13 people were hospitalized and another 13 were arrested. Residents staged the blockade to denounce a government ban on wood cutting and logging for commercial purposes. 

Similar demonstrations are possible on the M4 highway in Tavush province over the coming days, which may result in traffic disruptions.
