Spain: Pride march planned in Alicante July 20

LGBTQI+ groups plan Pride march on July 20; heightened security measures and associated disruptions expected

Various Spanish LGBTQI+ groups are holding a Pride march in Alicante on Saturday, July 20, to support equal rights for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and intersex people.

The march will take place as of 19:00 (local time) beginning from Plaza de los Luceros and will proceed to Plaza del Ayuntamiento. The march will be followed by a festival at 22:00 at the Plaza del Ayuntamiento. 

Heightened security measures and associated traffic disruptions are expected around the Pride march.
