Spain: Protest planned in Bilbao on August 26

Event

Pro-amnesty groups in Bilbao are scheduled to protest on Monday, August 26, asking for the release of Biscay prisoners. Protesters are to gather at Plaza Moyúa at 20:30 (local time). The protest coincides with the annual Aste Nagusia festival held over nine days in celebration of Assumption.

A heightened security presence and associated transportation disruptions are expected in the vicinity of the protest.
