Netherlands: Hijacking alert on plane at Schiphol Airport (AMS) reportedly false alarm November 6 /update 1

A hijacking alert issued by a pilot onboard a plane scheduled for departure from Amsterdam Airport Schiphol (AMS) on Wednesday, November 6, was reportedly activated by mistake. Passengers that were aboard the plane, scheduled to fly to Madrid-Barajas Airport (MAD), are safe.

A heightened security presence and lingering flight disruptions, including delays and cancelations, are to be expected at AMS over the coming hours.
