Germany: Police arrest 12 terror suspects in Berlin July 15
Authorities announce the arrest of 12 people believed to be involved in terror activities in Berlin on July 15; similar operations possible in the near term

Berlin police arrested 12 people across Berlin suspected of being involved in terror activities on Wednesday, July 15. In all, 19 properties were searched in the districts of Reinickendorf, Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf, Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg, and Tempelhof-Schöneberg. Some 450 security personnel were deployed to undertake the operation. Those arrested are suspected of financing terrorism, among other activities.
Similar security operations are possible in Germany over the near term.
