Protesters from the Querdenken (Lateral Thinking) group are planning to demonstrate in central Stuttgart from 1730 Jan. 26 to denounce coronavirus disease (COVID-19)-related restrictions. Activists plan to hold a vehicle rally around the city center and expect approximately 300 vehicles to participate.
Authorities are unlikely to attempt to prevent the event. However, the presence of large numbers of vehicles and related security measures is likely to prompt severe traffic congestion and public transport disruptions in the city center and surrounding routes.
