Germany: Authorities planning to close A-3 south of Regensburg during planned bomb disposal operation April 15

Ordnance disposal personnel in Regensburg are responding to reports of an unexploded WW2 bomb at a constriction site near the A-3 in the Burgweinting neighborhood. Authorities are planning to make the device safe from 09:00 on April 15. During the disposal operation, they will likely impose a 450-meter exclusion zone in which movement will be prohibited and approximately 1,200 people evacuated. The A-3 will be closed in both directions during the procedure.

Police will introduce road diversions and disruption is likely to be limited. However, some traffic congestion will likely persist on available roads until the disposal operation has concluded.
