Unexploded ordnance disposal operation in Dortmund, Germany, prompts localized evacuations and transport disruptions May 11. Avoid the area.
Event
Authorities are responding to the discovery of two World War II-era bombs in Dortmund, May 11. The devices were discovered during construction work in Westfalenpark. Authorities have imposed a 500 meter (1,640 feet) evacuation zone around the devices to facilitate the disposal operation within which no traffic is permitted and all individuals must evacuate.
