Several trade unions and associated groups plan to strike and protest against a controversial labor bill in the coming days. The following actions are confirmed:
June 3
08:00: The Civil Servants' Confederation (ADEDY) will launch a 24-hour strike in Athens and Heraklion.
09:00: Members of various trade unions will protest at the Court of Heraklion on Crete.
11:00: ADEDY members will protest at Klafthmonos Square in Athens.
19:00: The All Workers Militant Front (PAME) will protest at the Propylaea in Athens.
June 10
Members of various groups including ADEDY, PAME, the Athens Labor Center, and the General Confederation of Greek Workers (GSEE) will observe a 24-hour strike in Athens and Heraklion.
Attendance could vary between dozens and hundreds of people at different events. Although unconfirmed, rallies are likely during the strike action June 10. A heightened security presence is likely at any gathering that materializes. Police will almost certainly deploy to monitor the gatherings. While the events are likely to pass peacefully, low-level clashes between police and activists are possible, particularly if protesters breach security cordons or fail to disperse when ordered to do so.
