Authorities continue to implement COVID-19 restrictions in Vientiane Capital as of July 6. Officials have categorized localities in Vientiane Capital into red, yellow, and green zones, in decreasing order of COVID-19 activity and strictness of measures. At least 12 villages in Vientiane Capital remain under red zones measures since June 25. Locals in red zones cannot leave their residences, including for work.
