A magnitude-5.4 earthquake occurred near the border between Armenia and Georgia at around 21:25 Feb. 13. The epicenter was about 10 km (6 miles) west-southwest of Metsavan, Armenia. The tremor occurred at a depth of about 10 km (6 miles), and moderate shaking was probably felt in most of Armenia and Georgia as well as several provinces in eastern Turkey including Aradahan, Ars, Igdir, Agri, Erzurum, and Azerbaijan's Ganja Province. There have been no initial reports of damage or casualties as a result of the earthquake; significant damage is unlikely.
