Informational

Event

The Taba border crossing, connecting Israel's Eilat with Egypt's Taba, will fully reopen to travelers from July 3. Travelers will be able to pass through the checkpoint at all times. Israeli authorities claim that the move will reduce congestion at the border crossing and facilitate the cross-border movement of Israelis vacationing in the Sinai Peninsula. The border was previously closed in 2020 following the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic and has been open for several hours per day in recent months.
