Reports indicate that a suspected suicide bombing took place at the gates of General Dhegabadan Training School near the Turksom Military base in Wadajir District of Mogadishu, morning Sept. 24. Initial reports indicate multiple casualties and that Al-Shabaab has claimed responsibility for the attack. The attacker was reportedly targeting military recruits congregating at the facility.

Over the coming hours, a heightened security presence and localized traffic disruptions are likely near the blast site.
