Guinea-Bissau's Social Front, which represents health and education unions, has called for a nationwide strike Nov. 7-11. The action is being launched to demand better working conditions and the payment of salary arrears. A similar strike was held Oct. 10-14.

Protests, should they occur, are likely in urban centers, including Bissau. In towns and cities, protests are likely near government buildings.
