South Africa: Ongoing protest over poor service delivery in Pretoria, Nov. 25

Tshwane African National Congress (ANC) members are protesting in Pretoria 10:00-14:00 Nov. 25. They are protesting against poor service delivery by the municipality's governing coalition led by the Democratic Alliance (DA). The march began at the old Putco depot and will end at Tshwane House. Police have reportedly announced that the following roads will be affected:

• Kgosi Mampuru Street

• Madiba Street

• Struben Street

• Sophie de Bruyn Street

• Bosman Street

• Paul Kruger Street

• Thabo Sehume Street

• Lillian Ngoyi Street

• Sisulu Street

Additional police are deployed to monitor the action. Clashes between protesters and the police are possible if demonstrators are overly disruptive. The protest and related security measures could likely create significant transport disruptions in the surrounding area.
