Kuwait: Activists to protest in Kuwait City, March 7

Retirees have called for a sit-in from 09:00-11:00 March 7 outside the National Assembly (parliament), in Kuwait City. The purpose of the sit-in is to demand higher pensions. Dozens to hundreds of individuals could attend the event.

Officials are likely to deploy some security personnel to monitor the action. Some localized ground travel disruptions are possible if protesters attempt to march along nearby road routes. Violence is unlikely, but low-level confrontations between demonstrators and police are possible if participants ignore orders to disperse.
