UK: Activists plan protests in central London March 24

Activists affiliated with several organizations plan to protest in central London over Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's visit March 24. Protests will begin at different times and in several locations to disrupt Netanyahu's meeting with UK government officials at 10 Downing Street. Protesters with Defend Israeli Democracy will gather at Richmond Terrace, opposite 10 Downing St, 08:00-12:45 and again in the vicinity of the Savoy Hotel and the Victoria Embankment Gardens 13:00-18:00. In addition, demonstrators with the pro-Palestinian group will gather at Downing Street 10:00-12:00, while the Na'amod movement will protest 09:00-16:00 at the Montgomery Statue. Hundreds of people could participate in each action.

Authorities will almost certainly deploy increased security, such as roadblocks and movement restrictions near 10 Downing Street and surrounding areas. The associated roadblocks and large gatherings will prompt localized transport and business disruptions near protest locations. Skirmishes between police and activists are possible.
