Warning

Event

Police activity continues following an emergency reponse to incidents in Nottingham, early on June 14. Authorities had closed multiple roads, including Milton Street between Shakespeare and Upper Parliament streets and Upper Parliament Street at Market Street. Updated reports indicate that police have also closed Magdala Road, Maples Street, Ilkeston Road, and Woodborough Road between Magdala Road and the city.

As of 10:45, authorities confirmed that they had responded to three deaths, in two separate locations in the city, and a further incident involving a vehicle and a number of casualties had been reported. A suspected has been arrested.

Transport disruptions will likely start to reduce in coming hours. However, disruptions affecting bus and tram services are ongoing due to the road closures. Nottingham Tram has announced the suspension of all services in the city; EMR trains between Hucknall and Beeston and Nottingham stations and NCT buses are accepting tram passes and tickets. Diversions of affected bus routes are also in effect. Heightened security and localized business and transport disruptions are likely in the coming hours. Additional road closures are possible to facilitate police operations and investigations.

Nottingham is around 22 km (14 miles) east-northeast of Derby.

Advice

Exercise caution if operating in the affected area. Seek alternative routes to circumvent the impacted location and allow additional time to reach destinations. Heed instructions of authorities.
